Monday 10th November - walks *** – Levington and Around Felixstowe – cloudy with lots of rain.

Walk 1 – Levington Creek.

A fresh breeze from the south forecast today but with loads of rain arriving around midday and with low water at 8.20 it was not ideal for a windsurf foil but after a quick visit to Lidl and being dry I decided to hitch up the trailer and head to Levington arriving at the marina at 10.35 as the rain arrived! It did not take me long to knock windsurfing on the head so after taking a few pics I drove to Levington Creek to walk and see the new wooden walkway out onto the marsh. I found the path at the end of the creek, a temporary structure to do work to protect the mudflats, it was very slippery so I had to take it easy! I then headed home for a late breakfast and sort out my pics as the heavy rain arrived!

Walk 2 – Around Felixstowe.

Mag and I had one eye rain as she had not been out today so when the rain eased we left home at 2.30 and walked down to the seafront, the tide was high and with a fresh southerly blowing there was some big noisy waves crashing up the shore and managed to get a couple of nice pics and was lucky enough to get one one ITV’s About Anglia this evening! After wave watching on the pier the rain returned again as we continued along the prom to Bent Hill where we headed into town to get away from the breeze before returning home to dry off with a hot water bottle plus a cuppa and cake, with less rain forecast tomorrow I hope to get out on the water, fingers crossed!
